HOMO FABER, CRAFTING A MORE HUMAN FUTURE FROM 14 TO 30 SEPTEMBER 2018

“ENZIMI” VASE DESIGNED BY ANDREA BRANZI FOR GIOVANNI SCACCHI GALLERY HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE EXHIBITION "HOMO FABER, CRAFTING A MORE HUMAN FUTURE", AT THE FONDAZIONE GIORGIO CINI ON SAN GIORGIO MAGGIORE ISLAND IN VENICE.

Homo Faber is the premier event organized by the Michelangelo Foundation, an international non- profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, which was set up to celebrate and preserve master craftsmanship around the world and strengthen its connection to design.

Enzimi vase will be exhibited in the section “Centuries of shape”, imagined by Triennale Design Museum.
Discover some fifty iconic vases representing the evolution of design and its impact on craftsmanship over more than a century. Simple and functional, the vase is an object that has been made and used in many different cultures for millennia. As a result, it’s like an archaeological find, revealing the design styles, materials, techniques and artistic experimentation of the time in which it was made. This carefully curated selection of vases tells the story of European design and craftsmanship during the 20th and 21st centuries, showing how designers and artisans have always influenced each other to experiment, rethink and evolve.

Collaborating with the Michelangelo Foundation on the Homo Faber exhibition are four partner organizations which share its vision and convictions, including: the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller, the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, and the Triennale Design Museum.
